In the wealthiest country on the planet, Black people still have the second lowest life expectancy at birth of all racial and ethnic groups in the United States and fare worse than every other group when it comes to health status. Big Tobacco plays a key role in this. Tobacco-Nicotine use is a major contributor to the three leading causes of death among African Americans–heart disease, cancer and stroke. And it’s preventable!
