Colorado Black Health Collabrative
Description:

The Colorado Black Health Collaborative currently works with 12 Barbershops and Salons across Denver and Aurora to meet the community where they are to screen for blood pressure and glucose, and to provide health education materials.  Additionally, CBHC will provide information about Clinical Sites and Community Providers.

Ongoing Services and Activities:

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screenings
Time: Most Saturdays from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM and/or 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM among 12 designated Barbershops’ and/or Salons.
Location: Shops and Salons are identified in Event Calendar on CBHC website @ www.coloradoblackhealth.org
Cost: FREE

Provide one-on-one health education on high blood pressure, healthy eating, physical activity, smoking cessation, diabetes, pre-diabetes.
Time: Quarterly at designated location from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
